Umbra Clothing Collection Points
As part of our growth and development, we have introduced nationwide clothing collection banks to our range of services. Clothing banks offer members of the public the opportunity to recycle their clothing, household textiles, paired shoes, handbags and belts at a convenient point in close proximity to their home at a time which suits them. Our metal clothing banks are safe and secure; they incorporate modern handling and design features. They are provided free of charge and serviced every four days.
Umbra Clothing are an Irish Indigenous company whose focus is supporting cancer through orginisations such as Friends Of St Luke’s as well as supporting displaced children in third world Countries. Our aim is to help under privileged people achieve equality of life in a society in which they are as valued and have the same human and civil rights as everyone else.
The collected clothes are sorted and graded and sold on by the charity to people needing affordable clothes through their network of charities. This provides much needed income for the charities work. The items that cannot be sold are recycled ensuring that nothing goes to waste or to landfill.

The clothing banks are provided free of charge and are emptied on a regular basis. They are virtually vandal proof being metal in construction and measure approximately 4ftx5ftx6ft high and are ideal for outside locations. The recycle banks are a small but very practical way to demonstrate ‘wise stewardship’ of the things we no longer need and to be thoughtful in their disposal
Locating a Clothing Collection Point at your school, community centre, car park, or other community location will help raise much needed funds for your chosen charity We are seeking locations for our clothing collection points. If you have a suitable location please contact us and we will arrange for a unit to be delivered to your site.
Ideal sites are where the local community can get access to drop off their clothes.
